Rabbi Shimon Kaplin
Rabbi Shimon Kaplin was born in London. His father, Dayan Dovid Kaplin ZT"L comes from a famous Yerushalmi family. His early education was in Pardes House School, followed by five years learning in Gateshead Yeshiva, and three years in Yeshivas Mir. Following his marriage he continued his career in learning with seven years in the prestigious Gateshead Kollel, and now a Magid Shiur at Yeshivas Sha'arei Torah.
Rabbi Kaplin has been extensively involved in teenage chinuch, having been a member of the Hanholah of Yeshivas Ezras Torah for five years and a further four years as a magid shiur in Yeshivas Sha'arei Torah. Reb Shimon Shelit"a gives a regular shiur to "The Chaborah", and is also a much sought after speaker, giving weekly parsha shiurim in the "Start Your Day The Torah Way", as well as various other popular shiurim around Manchester.
