| Summary | Listen to a remarkable Gemora, Rashi & Tosafos in Taanis 30b where it discusses how Yidden would die every year, but ceased dying on 15 Av, which is one of the several reasons why it is such a big Yom Tov. A fascinating Chassam Sofer followed, followed by a Rashbam on the aforementioned Gemora. This was followed by a beautiful Reb Akiva Eiger. Several peshotim were given, including from the Pnei Yehoshua and the Belzer Rebbe with regard to the 515 Tefillos of Moshe Rabbeinu. The Beis Yoisef on his Pirush Al HaTorah elaborates upon why Moshe Rabbeinu was still not answered notwithstanding all these many Tefillos! The Shiur concluded with a beautiful Sfas Emess along with some light-hearted words in the name of Reb Yankel Galinsky zt"l. |
