Summary | Rabbi Steinberg today began with the theme of Simcha (being Adar!) and quoted that this works hand in hand with Emunah. He brought excerpts from Reb Simcha Zissel and the Chassam Sofer on this theme. Other points included the notion that "if you're going to do a Mitzvah - do it properly!" Mussar tidbits from Reb Yerucham and Reb Shimshon Pinkus were thereafter added, along with a most touching story involving Reb Chaim Kreiswirth. A famous Bal Haturim on the Parsha helped to connect the Sedra to Purim, regarding giving Tzedokah and Rabbi Steinberg marvelled, quite appropriately, at how, when it comes to Purim, even people who are themselves struggling to make ends meet, give Tzedokah generously and happily - Mi Ke'amchoh Yisroel....! |
